Rudolph and all those antlers

Hey, Y'all! I used Darcie's Heart and Home stamps for these cards. I just love these antlers! I also used the diamond die from MFT's to creat a fun, abstract Rudolph.

Big jolly fat guy shakin' things up

Hey! It's a big fat jolly wobble Santa! He knows how to shake it. He's cool like that.

I'm entering this card in the MFT's sketch challenge #361.

Happy holidays,  y'all!

Flower Challenge

As I told you in my last post, I've entered the Flower Challenge this month. The challenge is to create a floral card using blue and yellow.

It was so much fun creating these cards. I'm really happy with how they turned out. Now I need to make a few more after coming up with ideas I didn't have time to use. The Challenge allows up to five entries and I started late. But, two is good! I've actually been creating much faster since our move from Hawaii. No clue as to why, but it's definitely a good thing! Especially if you knew how long it used to take me to make a card. There's a reason I've had the nickname of "Doodle" since I was a child. 

Here's my second entry... I used Simon Says Stamp's Handwritten Floral Greetings and colored them with my Zig's. I decided on a sympathy sentiment since it seemed to go well with the soft colors. I added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops to add a small bit of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Flower Challenge!

Hey, you!

I've got two cards today that I'm entering in the Flower Challenge. This is only the second time I've entered a challenge, and have only done so at the suggestion of a sweet Instagram friend.

The challenge is to create a floral card using blue and yellow. I've already seen many entries, and let me tell you... I'd hate to be the one that has to choose the winner. They're gorgeous!

I used Simon Says Stamp's Handwritten Floral Greetings. I colored them with Copics and then fussy cut them. They're popped up with two different heights of dimensional foam to really make them stand out. For the sentiment, I used a clear sticker from Simple Stories Life in Color Collection. The banner sticker is from the same collection.

Here's my first entry...

Doodle schmoodle

Well, hello there!

It's a good day to begin a new blog. So, here I am. I'm so glad you found me... unless you're looking for money, or have me confused with someone with the same name on a hit list. If either apply, don't waste your time. I'm a broke artist by day, and a deadly ninja by night.

I like to make cards. Actually, I LOVE to make cards. If it were possible, I would be in my art room all day, and well into the night. Since I have a husband and daughter that I love, I can't have them feeling neglected, though. I also a have bulldog and two cats that all believe I belong to them, rather than the other way around. Although I pretend to be an adult, I do manage to find time to play with my paints, markers, and colored papers. I started on this path about four years ago. Now at the age of 42 and a half, I can finally say I know what I want to be when I grow up. I want to be a cardmaker! This is where you'll find what I have created. I hope you enjoy what you see!
